We can help you get your complex message across when it’s dry and difficult for people to understand. Come and make a film with us, and say what you need to say in an engaging, entertaining and cost-effective way. We take care of the whole process from writing the script, organising shoot locations, consultations and launch events.
At Enabled City, we have a strong track record of working in creative partnership with the public and independent sectors. And all our products (Word-Bank, PhotoRoute, HERO docs, public information films and leaflets) aim to help vulnerable or disadvantaged people get on better in the world.
At Enabled City, we know how important it is to get a message across using clear, everyday language. Whether it’s a complicated policy you want people to understand, or a service you want to promote, or any other important information you want to communicate effectively to others, we can help and support you using motion graphics and other film-making techniques. Never losing sight of the importance and seriousness of your core messages, we aim to make things entertaining and enjoyable that might otherwise seem dry or dull, or just too complex, enhancing the entertainment value of your communications, and helping you to get your key messages across.
Enabled City has worked with Greenwich CCG and NHS England to create the national NHS Continuing Healthcare (NHS CHC) films. The animated films explain to families how the NHS decides if someone is eligible for NHS CHC.
The national versions (with NHS England introductions) is freely available for all NHS providers to use. NHS Trusts wanting to add local branding such as introductions and staff interviews should contact us.
See the films script with supporting word-bank definitions.
Our small creative team (Alick Mackenzie, Lisa Mackenzie and Alan Colhoun) will lead and support you through the film-making process from start to finish, making sure the project stays on track. We will work in an inclusive way, ensuring we identify all those needing to be involved right at the start, and involving them in discussions and decision-making throughout the process. We will hold the reins and steer the project for you, but will always ensure that you remain in charge of the creative decision-making. And we will together produce a high quality end product that you and your colleagues and Enabled City can be proud of.
We will give you an initial estimate of costs right at the outset, based on the complexity and detail of the messages you need to communicate, the range of film-making techniques needed to create the product you want, and the likely length of the film. We will revise the initial cost estimate and project plan as we go along, and will always seek your explicit approval and agreement to any changes in plan, product and costs. We hope you find this information useful.
If you are interested in working on a film with us and would like to find out more, please contact us, we look forward to hearing from you!
“SeeAbility commissioned Enabled City to work with us to produce two short films concerning eye health and eye care for people with learning disabilities.
We found Enabled City to be extremely professional and committed to providing a quality product. Core to Enabled City’s ability is the skill to work with sensitivity and respect with people with a range of disabilities and vulnerabilities. This is a rare quality indeed amongst many less specialist agencies and ensured that the ‘finished product’ portrayed SeeAbility’s message in a positive and powerful manner.
Enabled City was able to source actors and models with Learning disabilities at very short notice and by doing so were able to help SeeAbility to present it’s message in a person centred and dignified manner. They were also able to source other professionals, such as additional film makers and technicians, whom they worked well with in a really coordinated and industrious manner.
The work they produced for SeeAbility was to a very high standard and was delivered to a tight schedule in a timely manner. SeeAbility warmly recommends Enabled City to other agencies.”
